What is Hemp?
We will answer this more in depth; however, the short answer is: Hemp is more a legal term for cannabis than it is a plant. When currency is turned over inside the cannabis industry for CBD, marijuana, or cannabis used in industrial applications, it is called hemp. An example is when marijuana plant stalks are converted to hemp after the buds are taken and the stalks are set for disposal. The transformation to its legal name happens at the maturity and end of the marijuana plant’s natural life cycle. Weird, right? Call it scientific law.
Knowing that hemp is not a plant, but rather a word to represent cannabis in legal terms, is important to understand why it is difficult to grow harmless vegetation.
Dating back to the beginning of the word, it was used as the commercial name for cannabis. The Germanic pronunciation is Hanf, but in English, this is Hemp. Hemp has more to do with taxes than it does dirt.
And the only way to stop the growth of a severe cash crop is to make a term like Hemp, which can mean lifeline, become heavily restricted, rhetorically attacked, and regulated for revenue in the press. The press we mention is not the media by itself; it is the machine that squeezes the life out of the possibilities of the Almighty’s gifts from Gen 1:29.
